Freshman players who made mistake during practice were subjected to a hazing ritual known as a running p.r. if it involved restraining the youngem in a dark locker room. former player ramon diaz jr. was an offensive lineman for northwestern back in 2005. he says he was hazed. everybody saw it. so many eyes. there were so many players, and nobody did anything. and they just let this go on for years. reporter: but in a statement following fitzgerald s firing, he was defiant, saying he had no knowledge whatsoever of any form of hazing, and that he was surprised that he was terminated. northwestern says that investigation did not find sufficient evidence that the coaching staff knew about this ongoing hazing, but what it did find, norah, his coaches did have enough information that they should have discovered or reported the hazing conduct. norah: jericka duncan with those disturbing new details, ....
