Lee University’s Knight Receives TATS Award Friday, April 9, 2021 - by Eliza Souers, Lee University Dr. Dewayne Knight holding his Tennessee Athletic Trainers Society Jerry Robertson Educator Award Lee University’s Dr. Dewayne Knight received the Tennessee Athletic Trainers Society Jerry Robertson Educator Award. The announcement was made during a virtual ceremony. “I am very surprised and honored to be named athletic training educator of the year by TATS,” said Dr. Knight, an associate professor of athletic training at Lee. “What is most special to me is to have been nominated for this award by a former student athlete at Lee University who is now a practicing athletic trainer and leader in her community.” ....
