CHHS students raise over $20,000 to buy retiring teacher a new car
In May, Chapel Hill High School junior Lyla Berman created a GoFundMe after hearing that history teacher Bill Melega had been driving the same car for 30 years. In just over a month, the community had raised nearly $23,000.
