We are catching up with the midlands returning somewhat to normal after strong wind swept through the midlands today. At his tights point more than 12,000 homes and businesses were without power because of the winds. That number is now down to 1200 homes and businesses. It all came from the strong storm system which was under a tornado watch. The highest wind gusts was 57 Miles Per Hour and that was this afternoon behind the cold front. Right now the front to the east but we still have a few light showers moving rapidly eastward across the midlands. They are really not much.
