$6M grant to help fix bad roads, infrastructure near GM's Factory Zero

A $6 million state grant will help pay to fix the bad roads and other infrastructure near General Motors' Factory ZERO in Detroit and Hamtramck. The money will also support 2,200 new jobs. Construction is scheduled to run from April to November 2022, a state spokesman said. The Michigan Department of Transportation awarded the grant Tuesday. The total cost for the project is $11.7 million. Head of Ottawa-based aerospace industry group set to call it a career

The head of an Ottawa-based group that represents more than 100 of Canada’s largest aerospace companies is stepping down after a decade on the job. The Aerospace Industries Association of Canada said Thursday that Jim Quick will be retiring as the organization’s president and CEO effective Jan. 29.
