BROOKINGS, S.D. (NDSU Athletics) – The North Dakota State women’s track & field team won its 14th consecutive conference indoor team title on Sunday afternoon, taking first at the Summit League Indoor Championships.
The Bison women racked up 225 points for the win, with South Dakota finishing second at 146 points and South Dakota State third with 127.5. The 79-point margin of victory was the largest since 2014.
Bison senior Jennie Baragar-Petrash was named the Track Championship MVP, winning the mile and the 5000m on Sunday to complete her sweep of the three distance events after taking the 3000m title on Saturday. She opened the day running 4:43.59 in the mile – a new personal-best that ranks third in school history – and capped it with a new meet record 16:25.16 in the 5000m, moving to fourth on the NDSU all-time list.
