City officials have formally passed the torch to new Sandpoint mayor Jeremy Grimm and council members Pam Duquette and Kyle Schreiber.

While citizens are crafting resolutions for the upcoming year, Sandpoint city officials are doing the same with hopes of reaching achievements in their personal lives and their roles in city government.

The Sandpoint City Council spent over an hour Nov. 15 deliberating over the final Waterfront Design Competition report, ultimately deciding to accept the document in a 3-1 vote, stressing that it is a vision, not a carved-in-stone plan.

A major deciding factor for Jeremy Grimm, Kyle Schreiber and Pam Duquette being elected was their commitment to remove City Administrator Jennifer Stapleton from her control of city business.
