Washington DC resident alleges ‘false representation’ by Powerball lottery operator
A Washington, D.C. man is suing Powerball for not paying him the $340 million he claims he won after matching numbers during a January 2023 drawing.
John Cheeks has filed a lawsuit against Powerball after he thought he won a $320million jackpot in January 2023. He noticed that his ticket numbers matched the website but not the live drawing.
"I know the justice system will prevail," he says - but the lottery claims to have posted his numbers in error.
John Cheeks was denied a life-changing jackpot worth $340 million despite his numbers checking out on the lottery's website last year over a website "mistake."
