Nigerian University Loses 15 Lecturers To Death Amid Ongoing Seven Months' Industrial Action

The current strike by Nigerian university lecturers, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has resulted in about 15 lecturers passing away at the University of Calabar, Cross River State. This is as there are other fatalities every day at the nation's institutions. On February 14 this year, ASUU announced a one-month warning strike due to the Federal Government's refusal to meet their demands. Since then, the public universities' gates have been closed.
