PDUW bans import of pig DIMAPUR — The Pig Dealers’ Union Wokha (PDUW), in its executive meeting held on April 27, decided to ban import of Assam local pigs starting from April 29. The ban on import of pig was necessitated as the rates are increasing due to Assam government’s ban on transportation of pigs through the state since March 13. The union has supported the Pork Butchers’ Union Dimapur and warned that it would take stern action against the defaulters.
