An international team of codebreakers said Wednesday they have found and deciphered the long lost secret letters of 16th-century monarch Mary, Queen of Scots,
Experts said the 57 letters are the most significant discovery about Mary for 100 years.
A group of codebreakers have deciphered 57 "elaborately" coded letters of Mary, Queen of Scots, 436 years after her execution on Feb. 8, 1587.
The messages, written while she was imprisoned by her cousin Queen Elizabeth I, were mistakenly listed as Italian texts in France’s national library.
