Niger Delta Group, MOSOP Calls For Exoneration Of Saro-Wiwa, Other 'Ogoni 9' Activists, Demands Creation Of Ogoni Development Authority

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has called for the exoneration of Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight others of Ogoni activists executed on November 10, 1995 by the late General Sani Abacha-led military government. This was according to a statement issued by the President of MOSOP, Fegalo Nsuke, who urged the Nigerian government to reconsider the tribunal judgement that sentenced the nine Ogonis to death in 1995, including Ken Saro-Wiwa, John Kpuinen, Baribor Bera, Saturday Doobee, Nordu Eawo, Daniel Gbooko, Paul Levura, Felix Nuate, and Barinem Kiobel.

Exonerate Saro-Wiwa, 8 Other Ogoni Heroes As Part Of Conditions To Resolve Crises In Oil-Rich Nigerian Region – MOSOP

  The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), has insisted that exonerating the nine Ogoni civil rights activists including Ken Saro-Wiwa who were murdered on November 10, 1995, must be among the conditions for resolving the Ogoni crises by the Nigerian government. MOSOP also called on the Nigerian government to fully accept the Ogoni proposals for the operation of the Ogoni Development Authority as recommended by the MOSOP Central Committee.
