WORK has begun on a new marine technology park that is expected to support more than 1,000 new jobs in West Dunbartonshire. The area’s MP has hailed plans for the Scottish Marine Technology Park (SMTP), on the site of the former Carless oil refinery in Old Kilpatrick, after the Scottish Government approved a grant of nearly £2 million for the project. Old Kilpatrick's Scottish Marine Technology Park moves a step closer

A PLAN to develop more than 1,000 skilled jobs at the new Scottish Marine Technology Park (SMTP) in Old Kilpatrick is one step closer to becoming a reality thanks to the Clyde Mission Fund. The new funding announcement, which will allow redevelopment of the quayside, builds on the first phase announced earlier this year.
