In the November 1999 federal election, PBS only managed 3 parliamentary seats, a far cry from the 8 seats that it won in 1995 and 14 in 1990. The 3 seats were in Bandau (Dr Max), Tanjong Aru (Dr Yee Moh Chai) and Tan Sri Pairin (Keningau). The trio was seen as the Flagship Carrier of PBS.

PAPAR (April 29): Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Limbahau chief Datuk Johnny Mositun has expressed his concern and worry over the water supply issue in the district. The problem, he said, is not only confined to the district but in fact happening all over the state. Speaking at PBS Limbahau’s annua
