Overnight rain that turns to sleet, ice and snow will impact roads, bridges and overpasses, MoDOT and the National Weather Service warn.
MoDOT has every driver they have on the road, but they don't have enough drivers to use every plow.
Buses will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.
The Columbia Public Works Department has made two proposals, including a proposal with three roundabouts.
As temperatures rise and road salt begins to take effect, ice packs will turn to slush, which also is hazardous for driving, Columbia Public Works said.
