A July 21 letter by John Pillmann reminds me of a rather permanent lifestyle conflict I perceived even before I attended college. As a society we seem torn between building the city in the country, or the opposite. The unfortunate options so often picked by land use decision makers are, sadly, stuck with us for decades.
