Tropical Depression Claudette flood repair contracts near $2 million
Emergency repair costs stemming from widespread flooding that occurred over Father’s Day weekend are nearing $2 million for Tuscaloosa taxpayers. Two repair contracts were unanimously approved Tuesday by the Tuscaloosa City Council to pay for work to fix water line breakages near the city’s raw water intake at Lake Tuscaloosa and water and sewer line failures near the Black Warrior River.
