Republican Bukacek had 55% of the votes counted with 44,381 votes. Democrat John Repke, has received 45% of the vote with 35,823 votes counted.
We could not have a more qualified candidate than John Repke running to represent households and businesses on the commission.
Repke hopes to be the first Democratic member of the PSC in a decade. Bukacek’s conservative platform has helped launch the Kalispell physician into the running for a seat.
For around $110,000 a year, Montana Public Service commissioners take on a four-year commitment to balance company interests with the needs of the customers the utilities serve.
