Sheridan County commissioners awarded the bid Tuesday for construction of additional parking at the Sheridan County Airport. The project, which would add 96 more parking spots at the airport, drew personal endorsement from County Commission Chairman Nick Siddle. Commissioners voted unanimously to award the bid for the project to Wagner Ranch Services for the low bid of just under $571,000. The Sheridan County Commission, at their regular meeting Tuesday, will consider the Notice of Award and Contract Agreement for the Sheridan County Airport Long-Term Parking Lot Project. At an earlier meeting, Airport Manager John Stopka said the project will be a federal/state/local project with $1 million coming from the federal government (FAA), $40,000 from the state, and nearly $27,000 coming from the county.
