Sac County Sheriff, Ken McClure, says they have made the difficult decision to retire their K-9, Petey, who has been battling hip issues. Petey will remain with his handler for the past six years, Sgt. Johnathan Meyer and his family. McClure says Petey has had an impressive career with the Sheriff’s Office, tracking and apprehending four fugitives, seizing nearly 3,000 grams of marijuana and almost 200 grams of methamphetamine.
