BENNINGTON â The life of Dawn Bakker, a Bennington resident who helped and befriended patrons of the Bennington Free Library and students at the Community College of Vermont, will be celebrated on July 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. at her home at 207 Park St. Bakker died on April 15, during the pandemic. For George and Mary Anne Lewis, the owners of the Brass Lantern Inn, the venture was love at second sight.
