The City of Marysville will soon have a new councilmember. Harry "Duke" Dunn has been tapped to fulfil the remainder of Kathy Hayman's city council term after she was elected mayor last month. Dunn spoke to WPHM after Monday's Marysville City Council meeting about his priorities for the council, which include seeing through a band shell project in Marysville Park. There will be at least one new face on the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners next year, with incumbents also being challenged in three other districts. That means voters in certain areas of the county will have competitive matchups for both the August primary and November general election. Greg McConnell will not be running for reelection in the first district. Republicans Steve Simasko and Carolyn Richards will face off in a primary as will Democrats Fred Fuller and Tina Ritter.
