Researchers Develop a Metal 3D Printing Pen Technology to Continuously Print Metal with Freedom

A research team led by Dr. Sang-woo Song, Dr. Chan-kyu Kim, Dr. Kang-myung Seo at the Department of Joining Technology of the Korea Institute of Materials Science(KIMS), a government-funded research institute under the Ministry of Science and ICT, has developed a foundational technology for controlling the volume of molten metal in the process of 3D printing metal using welding techniques.

Michael Kelly named Wiregrass Tech Student of the Year

Michael Kelly, an Electrical Engineering student on the Valdosta Campus, has been named the 2023 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner for Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.  GOAL honors excellence in academics and leadership among the state’s technical college students, and is a statewide program of the Technical College System of Georgia.  Local GOAL winners are selected at each of the state’s 22 technical colleges and one Board of Regents college with a technical education division.
