El Niño is expected to bring a shift to weather patterns across the western United States this year. For some parts of Utah, that might mean a drier summer. But Utahns shouldn’t expect to see much drastic change right away.
“We got screwed over,” one White Lake landowner said. “The politicians in Pierre socialized the wind farm money that was supposed to go locally.”
Despite the record snowpack and the everpresent talk of spring runoff and flooding, Utah has already seen over 20 wildfires so far this year.
