Last week Marshall County Commissioner Kevin Overmyer appeared before the County Council to discuss a joint resolution to apply extra funds from the Special Local Income Tax (LIT) intended to pay the jail bond to help fund jail operations. Members of the County Council took time during their final meeting of the year to recognize three members. Members of the Marshall County Council tabled a decision on a bond issue for the construction project of the Bremen Public Library during their meeting Monday morning.  The County Council must give their approval to the bond issue since the members of the Bremen Library Board are not elected officials.
