recession: Euro zone recession risks grow as rate hikes bite: PMI
The euro zone economy is expected to contract this quarter and remain in a state of recession due to the impact of interest rate hikes by central banks, according to a survey. The flash euro zone Composite Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose slightly in September but remained below the 50 mark that indicates growth. Hamburg Commercial Bank predicts a 0.4% contraction this quarter.
