CIDG ops net arrest of 3 top fugitives
MANILA - Three most wanted persons (MWPs) were arrested in a recent series of arrest warrant operations, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) reported on Thursday. In a statement, CIDG chief, Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee, said the suspects Jonathan Mandap, Mario Baquelta, and Elmo Gumalog were arrested during simultaneous "Oplan Pagtugis" operations on Sept. 20. Mandap and Gumalog, the top fugitives of the provinces of Pampanga and Pangasinan, respectively, were arrested for charges of rape with no bail recommended and acts of lasciviousness with a bail of PHP200,000.
