BOC approves Emergency Rental Assistance Program funding At a Forsyth County Board of Commissioners work session on Tuesday, Feb. 23, the board voted to accept the Emergency Rental Assistance Program funding of more than $7 million.  Commissioners also voted to approve the program resolution, budget resolution and nonprofit memorandums of understanding with room for modification from County Attorney Ken Jarrard. RIC-Rack Food Bank to merge with The Place of Forsyth County Non-profit leaders say that RIC-Rack Food Bank in Dawson County is set to merge with The Place of Forsyth County to allow for both nonprofit organizations to expand their reach and services in the coming months.  According to a press release by RIC-Rack, the growth that Dawson County has experienced has led the local food bank to look for a way to grow with it. Goessel School District receives donations GOESSEL—Goessel School Board met on Feb. 8 and heard from Superintendent/elementary principal Amanda Lowrance about donations to the athletic department from Leon and Virginia Guhr and also Duane and Agatha Duerksen. The donations will help pay the cost of officials for basketball games. Board chair Kelly Booton wished to thank them for their generosity. The board voted to accept the donations.
