Green Bay man charged in stabbing death after gas station confrontation GREEN BAY - A 43-year-old man was charged Tuesday in the stabbing death of a 25-year-old man after a confrontation at a downtown gas station. Joseph E. Olvera of Green Bay was charged Tuesday with first-degree intentional homicide and three counts of bail jumping in Brown County Circuit Court. He is accused of stabbing a 25-year-old man Sunday in the parking lot of a gas station at 610 E. Walnut St. The victim died early Monday. Video shows Olvera was pulling out of the lot at the same time another car the victim was in was heading into the gas station, according to the criminal complaint. Olvera hit the brakes before the vehicles crashed into each other. ....
GREEN BAY - A 25-year-old man has died after a stabbing Sunday in downtown Green Bay. Police responded at 5:16 p.m. Sunday to a 9-1-1 call at East Mason and Baird streets for a man with a stab wound. Police determined he was stabbed in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station, 610 E. Walnut St. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries at 3:15 a.m. Monday, Green Bay police said. Green Bay police named Joseph E. Olvera, 43, of Green Bay as a suspect, and he was arrested around 1 p.m. Monday at a home in the 1500 block of Charles Street. ....

Police responded to a 911 call at East Mason Street and Baird Street for a 25-year-old man in critical condition, suffering from a stab wound. Investigating officers determined the stabbing actually occurred in the parking lot of a gas station on the 600 block of East Walnut Street. The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead around 3:15 Monday morning. Green Bay Police Department detectives and forensic personnel were called to the scene and began the investigation immediately after the stabbing occurred. The investigation identified the suspect believed to be responsible for the stabbing as Joseph E. Olvera, a 43 year old resident of Green Bay. ....
