BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A preliminary hearing in a Calhoun County courtroom was postponed Monday for a man charged with tampering with evidence in a Battle Creek murder. 28-year-old Julice Haggerty of Battle Creek is one of two people charged in connection with the disappearance and presumed murder of 27-year-old Amber Griffin. Detective Sgt. Joel Case told the Battle Creek Enquirer that Haggerty is alleged to have destroyed evidence last year and then lied to officers about it.
