A generator technician shot dead by a Nigerian policeman in Oregun area of Lagos on Sunday night has been buried. Bakare Idris was buried on Wednesday at Ifo area of Ogun State after an autopsy was carried out on him, SaharaReporters learnt. He was murdered by an officer attached to Alausa Police Division in Lagos, southwest Nigeria. SaharaReporters on Tuesday reported that the family members of the deceased had demanded the release of his corpse and that justice be done. The trigger-happy policeman has been identified as Kabiru Odejimi.

  The family members of a generator technician, Bakare Idris Demola, who was shot dead by the Nigerian Police in Oregun, Ikeja area, have demanded that the police release the corpse of their son and also ensure that justice is served. A police officer identified as Kabiru Odejimi had allegedly shot dead Bakare Idris. SaharaReporters gathered that the incident occurred in Oregon area of Ikeja on Sunday night.

Human rights and pro-democracy group, the Take-It-Back Movement (TIB) has called for immediate prosecution of a Nigerian police officer, identified as Kabiru Odejimi for allegedly killing a 24-year-old Lagos resident, Bakare Idris Damola. In a statement released on Tuesday by the group’s Publicity Secretary, Adekunle Adeyemi Taofeek (Scotty Aluta), Damola was killed on Sunday by the police officer on his way from an outing.
