CANTON Two local students attending St. Lawrence University were among 62 students nominated by coaches into the institution s chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society, recognizing outstanding college student-athletes who excel in the classroom, in their sport, and in the community.
Mark Mahoney of Canton is a member of the Class of 2022 and is majoring in economics, and attended The Hotchkiss School. Mahoney is a member of the men s ice hockey and men s lacrosse teams at SLU.
Kaden Pickering of Madrid also a member of the Class of 2022 and is majoring in economics and attended Northwood School. Pickering is a member of the men s ice hockey team.
