A woman was strangled to death over dowry in Kahna area of the provincial capital.
The victim’s heirs alleged that Shakila was killed by her in-laws over bringing less dowry.
According to police report, 18-year-old Shakila was married to Shakeel alias Basharat in Zahoor Town a few months ago.
Shakila’s mother Nasreen Bibi said that she had given dowry to her daughter according to her means.
However, a few days after the marriage, her son-in-law and his family started insulting her for not bringing dowry. ....
