Share The Point Lonsdale woman said she didn't see the number plate of the vehicle she claimed drove her off the road.   'I managed to get out, open my door and sat on the grass and there was no other car there when I sat down,' Ms Singleton said to 9NEWS.  'I don't know why someone could do that to someone.' Ms Singleton's father Jason Singleton said it was 'inhumane' for drivers to ignore his daughter after the accident.  'It's very inhumane to anyone to leave a young girl on the side of the road helpless with the car torn apart,' said Mr Singleton. 

A young driver who smashed into a pole along Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula and miraculously survived has begged the driver who put her there to come forward. Kaitlin Singleton says she was abandoned on the side of the road in Baron Heads after a ute veered into her lane. Peeled like a tin can, her Holden Barina was sliced wide open.
