Kaleb Smith, now 18-years-old, appeared in court Thursday morning and pled guilty to 1st-degree manslaughter. More than 30 people were arrested on drug charges following a south Lafourche narcotics investigation, authorities said. Operation Bad BOI was launched late last year and led to the arrests of 33 people over the last two months, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office said. "Bad Boi" is the street name for heroin, officials said.  Agents obtained eight search warrants for residences, including one on 64th Street in Cut Off which was searched twice in 12 days, the Sheriff's Office said.
