Florida officials have arrested and charged a man believed to be the "Pillowcase Rapist" accused of battering between 40 and 45 victims in a cold case dating back to the 1980s.
Aided by advances in DNA technology, authorities in Florida say they have identified and charged the so-called Pillowcase Rapist accused of sexually assaulting multiple women in the 1980s.
Detectives said they dug through 500 boxes of evidence and thousands of sexual assault cases to link the cases to Robert Koehler.

The so-called “Pillowcase Rapist” who terrorized South Florida in the 1980s and may have sexually assaulted dozens of victims has been identified as a 62-year-old man already behind bars, according to police.
