The state government has exempted the district commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) from various protocol duties, including attending state-level meetings, and has limited the role to only that of a district commissioner in order to ensure smooth operation of the administration.
The new District Commissioner of the Kamrup Metropolitan District has announced that he will be hearing complaints from the citizens at the Dispur Revenue Circle office on December 17.
