However, this proposed road had another distinction to its ” credit ” – that of foundation stones having been laid by two Chief Ministers- Sheikh Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti but still the expected beneficiaries numbering over 1.5 lakh in the district could not reap the benefits of a built up road. Described as the ‘orphan baby’ of the respective previous governments by the locals from remote Khawas belt of Rajouri, this road project also did not show much progress or invited attention of the Administration during Governor’s rule in the past.
