Show more On December 2019 following days of heavy rain a landslide hit, killing 28 people and destroying many homes in Bushika county, Uganda. It wasn’t the first landslide and extreme weather conditions, due to climate change, are creating the conditions for these kinds of disasters to occur around Mount Elgon. Survivors say more could have been done to stop the death of so many people and are taking the government to court.
