A homeless man risked his life to rescue several cats and dogs trapped inside an Atlanta, Georgia, animal shelter after it caught fire.

Keith Walker, 53, is being credited with saving the lives of 16 shelter animals Walker, who is homeless, rushed into the burning animal shelter to rescue them The fire department was waiting for animal control to arrive, but Walker ran inside the building to pull out the animals The fire was said to have started in the kitchen and been an electrical fire
