Wood County closing snowmobile trails for week
By Liz Holbrook WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — Warmer weather is causing some snowmobile trails to be closed temporarily. The Wood County Parks and Forestry Departments is closing snowmobile trails due to “deteriorating conditions.” The department says they hope this is a temporary closure and that they will re-evaluate conditions on Thursday for the weekend. Sunset Drifters trails closed at 8 a.m. on Monday. Trails in Auburndale, Rudolph, Bakerville, Kellner Knights, Vesper, and Yellow River closed at noon.
