OTTAWA An Ottawa girl with a rare disorder is encouraging students to become stem cell donors and possibly save a life. Hillary McKibbin, 7, was diagnosed two years ago with aplastic anemia, a rare blood disorder that prevents her body from producing enough new blood cells. Since then, she and her mom Kelly McKibbin have become tireless advocates for stem cell donations.
