The Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting families out to its first Business in the Park event at Max Starcke Park. Kelsyi Meza, the chamber’s business and events manager, says local businesses will be setting up shop around the park and will be sharing their goods and services with residents. “It’s free to the public. So, you can come anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. We are going to have tables set up inside of the pavilion. The group, which has members representing a variety of local businesses, began the work over the weekend at the site located at 211 E. Live Oak Street. The property includes historic buildings such as Seguin’s First Church and the Campbell-Hoermann Log Cabin. Each year, a leadership group has the task of selecting a project that improves the quality of life for all. ....

Tickets are still on sale for the chamber’s Centennial Celebration and Awards Banquet. The event, which had been postponeed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, is now scheduled to be an online-only event slated for Tuesday, January 12. Chamber Business & Events Manager Kelsyi Meza says this is a major milestone for the chamber, and they hope that people will register to be a part of this big celebration. “It’s been a crazy couple of weeks for us at the chamber, but we are back and better, and ready to get on track to make this event happen on January 12. We are excited to take everyone on a stroll through memory lane, as we look back at the past 100 years,” said Meza. ....
