The New York Giants announced on Twitter they have fired offensive coordinator Jason Garrett midway through his second season with the franchise. Garrett's dismissal on Tuesday comes just one day after New York's offense was stymied by Tampa Bay in a 30–10 loss. Witten announced Wednesday that he plans to sign a one-day contract and retire as a member of his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, in March when his deal with the Raiders expires at the end of the 2020-21 league year.
