From the Archives, 1972: Manhunt for Bendigo's eight prison escapees
50 years ago, a manhunt to recapture the last of the eight escapees from Bendigo prison was continuing into its third day. Earlier that day two of the last prisoners gave themselves up to an Anglican minister after holding a girl hostage in Olinda.
