ACB Traps And Arrests Principal Kendriya Vidyalaya, Doda For Accepting Bribe
SRINAGAR: Anti Corruption Bureau received a complaint against the Principal KendriyaVidyalaya, Jodhpur, Doda namely Rajeev Kumar Mahajan, who is also Incharge principal, KendriyaVidyalaya, Bhaderwah. It was alleged that the complainant had applied for the issuance of Transfer Certificate (TC) of his minor daughter who is studying in KV Kishtwar, for her transfer from KV Kishtwar to KV Bhaderwah. The complainant contacted Principal KV Bhaderwahseeking her transfer. The I/C KV Bhaderwah, Rajeev Kumar Mahajan, kept on delaying matter and demanded Rs. 25,000/- for managing the transfer of his daughter from KV Kishtwar to KV Bhaderwah. The complainant explained his inability to pay such a huge amount. The said principal of KV Bhaderwah agreed on an amount of Rs.15000/- to do the needful and called the complainant to Doda near Post office with the bribe amount.

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee celebrated National Science Day on 28th Feb 2021

In the evening of February 28, 2021, an online Institute Lecture was organized by the IIT Roorkee. The Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. N P Padhy welcomed the audience and thanked all the schools of Roorkee for their overwhelming participation. Prof Ajit K Chaturvedi, Director, IIT Roorkee addressed the audience on significance of Science Day. The annual Science Day Lecture in an online Mode was delivered by the Chief Guest Prof. Rajeeva Laxman Karandikar, Director Chennai Mathematical Institute on the topic-“Role of Statistics in the Era of Big Data, Analytics, Data Science”.
The event ended with vote of thanks. IIT Roorkee faculty, students and school children attended it.
