THE STANDARD NATIONAL Court of Appeal President Daniel Musinga began his stance with a warning shot to all counsels and parties involved in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) appeal case. He, on Wednesday, June 2, during the Court of Appeal case management conference, advised against indignity and prosecuting the BBI case in the media, while asking the involved parties to allow the court to make a fair and properly informed decision without causing unnecessary tension. “Let us be civil, respect one another, and be balanced in our comments. This is an important Judicial process that must be handled in a very civil manner,” Justice Musinga said.

In a Twitter post on Monday, May 24, Kipkorir, while making the announcement, challenged Kenyan leaders to love the country above self, family and tribe as a precursor for developing a mature political system. “On reflection, I have taken a sabbatical from Kenya’s politics which has no higher ideals, but driven at its default by personal interests with the support of the poor and illiterate bases,” noted Korir.

[Kipsang Joseph,Standard] Rongai Member of Parliament Raymond Moi has exuded confidence in the battery of lawyers picked to appeal the High Court ruling that annulled the Constitution Amendment Bill 2020. Raymond spoke during the launch of a newly built Konoyo Primary School in Soin Ward fully funded by the National Government-Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) in the 2019/2020 financial year. "I have high hopes that the lawyers will convince the Court of Appeal to overturn the ruling made by the High Court. Filing an appeal is the right direction to ensure the needed amendments are done," said Moi.
