A six-year-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert issued Tuesday in Miramichi, N.B., has been found on foot with his mother, the suspect, in Whitney, N.B. The boy is safe and the mother has been taken into custody, police said.
Murphy and his mother, the suspect, were found in Whitney, N.B., about 21 kilometres from where they were last seen. Sgt. Lorri McEachern with the Miramichi Police Department said the two were found on foot near the 2008 black Nissan Xterra Ashley Munn was driving.
