All property types across Otter Tail County will see their estimated market values rise between 15-30%, according to an Otter Tail County Assessor's Office report. The county's chief deputy assessor said their new valuations are based on sales from the previous year and are entirely dependent on market forces.
The Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners appointed Kevin Scheidecker to become Otter Tail County's new assessor during their most recent meeting on Tuesday, March 29. Scheidecker has served as the county's chief deputy assessor since 2018 and will take over from retired County Assessor Doug Walvatne.
March will be Walvatne’s last month with the county.
