Rawalpindi District Administration will plant over 3.247 million saplings under ‘Hur Bashar Aik Shajar,’ monsoon plantation campaign. According to a district administration spokesperson, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah and Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi on July 12 launched the monsoon plantation campaign by planting a sapling at Gymkhana Club on Friday.
The Punjab government had issued a schedule for June 28 to August 01 for the programme ‘Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par’ under which public sector water tanks were also being cleaned besides changing filters of water filtration plants in the district. He said that a special plantation campaign titled ‘Hur Bashar Aik Shajar’ has been launched to plant maximum saplings in the district. A special cleanliness programme would be finalised for Eidul Azha, which would start from July 19, he said adding that Eidgahs would be cleaned besides proper arrangements for removal of offal of sacrificial animals during Eid holidays. The performance of all the departments concerned would be monitored daily.

LALAMUSA: The tree plantation campaign will begin under the ‘Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par’ programme in the district from today. DC Mehtab Waseem Azhar will inaugurate the campaign at Municipal Girls High School. Gujrat Divisional Forest Officer Irshadullah Gondal said that during tree planting week, provision of plants and technical support to farmers would also be provided at Dhool Forest, highways, schools, colleges, hostels.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Tuesday said that Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar was serving masses without wasting time in political jugglery, as he believed in performance, instead of hollow slogans.
Talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, Dr Firdous said that the CM had been taking the province towards development and prosperity and the budget would give a further boost to the development activities. She said the second phase of the ‘Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par’ programme had been launched. The five-week long programme would be continued till Aug 1, she added.
